Welcome to the GLC Star League!

Join us for Witneys Gym Leader Challenge Tournament, a part of the GLC Star League Circuit!

Trainers will be going head to head in a best of 3 Swiss tournament to see who can "be the very best like no one ever was". This event will be using Pokemon's Gym Leader Challenge Format. 

Doors Open: 10:00

Event Starts: 12:00

Event Ends: Dependant on Player Turnout.

Important Info Regarding this League:

  • This is one of 8 Events in the Circuit. Check out the Website and Discord server for info on the other 7 events in the circuit!
  • Players will earn points for each event in the Circuit they attend. The top player(s) at the end of the circuit will receive additional prizing!!

What do I need to know and bring?

  • Bring your best Gym Leader Challenge Deck! If you need more info on the format, check out this website!
  • Make sure you have signed up for your Pokémon Player's ID via Pokémon Trainer Central. If you haven't got one yet, you can sign up with this link.
  • Optional: have the Play! Pokémon Access app installed on your phone or tablet for faster check in.
  • Check that the cards you want to use are legal for use in the Gym Leader Challenge Format (language cards for Europe legal play only). For more information on which cards are legal for this format, look at the Banlist.
  • If you have further questions, check out the additional FAQ in the GLC Star League Discord Server.
  • Bring your deck list which you can fill out before the event. Here is a link which works as a great template: Click here. Please send the decklist to bart@mysticgames.co.uk if you cannot print yours at home. Alternatively, we will have blank lists you can fill out on the day.
  • The event is played as a Swiss Style Tournament in which Trainers play over a number of rounds against others with a similar running score, but not against the same opponents several times.
  • This event will have a Top Cut if there are enough players.

Prizes!

  • 1 Booster Pack will be entered into the prize pool for each attendee.
  • A random selection of PLAY 3/4/5/6 packs for every participant.
  • As this is event is being held during the Off Season, this event will award no Championship Points.
  • The winner for each age division will receive a set of acrylic standees featuring Chikorita, Totodile and Tepig.
